August markerer slutten på sommeren for mange. Ferien er over, hverdagen er tilbake og kontoen kanskje litt slunken etter late dager og iskalde øl i sola.

Hva gjør du da, når Vinmonopolet klinker til med 243 nye øl i tilleggsutvalget?

Vel, du leser videre. Her får du hele oversikten.

Som vanlig er det IPA som dominerer nyhetsslippet. Hele 119 nye IPAer lanseres, i alt fra klassiske West Coast til juicy New England. Deretter følger 49 surøl i ulike varianter, og 29 mørke øl som porter og stout. Med andre ord: det er noe for enhver smak, også i august.

Hva er tilleggsutvalget?

Ølnyhetene i tilleggsutvalget er ikke tilgjengelige for netthandel, og butikkene må kjøpe inn hele kasser. Det betyr at du ikke kan bestille enkeltflasker- eller bokser til din lokale butikk, men det finnes likevel to måter å få tak i dem:

  1. Følg med på Vinmonopolets nettside for å se hvilke butikker som har tatt inn de ølene du er på jakt etter.
  2. Spør din lokale Vinmonopolet-butikk om de kan ta inn varen(e) du ønsker.

    Eg merka meg dette avsnittet:
    ……Som vanlig er det IPA som dominerer nyhetsslippet. Hele 119 nye IPAer, 49 surøl og 29 porterar og stoutar. Med andre ord noe for enhver smak……
    Min kommentar: Eg synes ikkje at stor overvekt av ipa, surøl og porterar/stoutar er noko for einkvar smak. Skjønar ikkje kvifor lagerøl og til dømes kveiteøl blir nedvurdert/nedprioritert, særleg massivt til fordel for ipa. Skal du ha ei forfriskande øl etter lang dags hardt arbeid og aktivitet, tek du ein lager eller kveiteøl. Rett nok er det ein andel lager og kveiteøl tilgjengelig hos Vinmonopolet, men altfor få, og altfor mange smale og fancy øl av typen ipa, stoutar og surøl.

      Jeg er helt enig: Det burde absolutt vært større variasjon i ølstilene som slippes, særlig flere lyse lagerøl og hveteøl. Dette er øltyper som ofte treffer bredere enn IPA og surøl.

      Dessverre er det ofte markedet som styrer hva som faktisk blir lansert og hva folk kjøper. Jeg har selv erfart hvor vanskelig det kan være å få solgt lagerøl og hveteøl på Vinmonopolet, med mindre merkevaren er sterk eller prisen svært konkurransedyktig. Det er fortsatt mye mer interesse rundt IPA.

      Når det er sagt, kom det faktisk en god del lyse lagerøl i augustslippet – selv om bare ett var hveteøl. Jeg håper vi fremover får se flere klassiske øltyper og større bredde i nyhetene. Det fortjener både folket – og ølets mangfold.

        Veit du om Ayinger kjem med fest märchen no i september? Forstår det slik at Ayinger fest märchen er ein ufiltrert versjon av Ayinger kirtabier, som eg synes er eit fantastisk øl. Takk for innsatsen din for å fremje godt øl!
